SATURDAY
All day class featuring Pat's Pulled Thread Sampler (9am-4pm)
Special lunch will be provided that day.
Following dinner, we will return to The Pink Chandelier for
Pat's Finishing Class--Have you ever learned to HEM with a piece of PAPER?!?

SUNDAY
Alma Lynne's Sassy Class (9am -11am) will be followed by the GRADUATION Brunch

Pat's Pulled Thread Sampler

9-1/2" x 9-1/2" on 28ct. cream linen "Cream on Cream"

 

Learn to create & design your own sampler. Pat will teach 13 different techniques which students will use to create their own unique sampler. Each student will then choose 3 more stitches to finish their piece for a total of 16 squares. Students will use DMC perle cotons to create the following stitches:
Step stitch filling, Eyelet on trellis, Single faggot & backstitch, Single faggot rows,
Open trellis filling, Chequer filling, Squaring with double back, Diagonal four-sided trellis, Pins & honeycomb darning, Pulled satin with Greek cross, Cobblestone stitch, Pulled satin stitch variation, Knot stitch, and Squared edging with points.


Pat's "Finishing Class"--Hems/Joining/Cutting




Create 3 exciting projects! Stitch a beautiful 15" x 15" napkin on 26ct. Sal-Em fabric with DMC floss and Perle cotton, adapted from a Danish antique napkin. Finish it and cut "away" unwanted fabric with the versatile Nun Stitch. Learn to hem on "paper" then fabric to make an 8" x 8" 20ct. linen square with a beaded cross stitch border design--creating a space perfect for a vase of flowers! Stitch a 3" x 3" pincushion with your initial on 20ct. linen joined with a chain stitch and beads. All alternatives to framing!

 

Alma Lynne's "Sassy Class"

Alma Lynne has designed one of her NEW "Sassy Stitcher" faces using a variety of decorative stitches such as the Stem, Lazy Daisy, BackStitch, Chain, Buttonhole, and Satin stitch. You will also learn to make a Yo-Yo, Alma Lynne-style! These dah-ling faces may be embellished to your heart's content just for YOU! Of course, if you are REALLY SASSY, then your girl will absolutely HAVE to HAVE crystal beaded earrings, a necklace and a bracelet! Everything is included in your Sassy Kit to make "your girl"...but if you happen to have a special piece of lace or vintage linen, bring it to class to make your Sassy even Sassier!
