Do you want to learn Hardanger, but have been afraid to? Pat's approach to Hardanger using color will make learning the basics a breeze. This lovely hanging contains all of the basics of Hardanger with a few "extras", brass hardware included.
A Cross Stitch, Pulled Thread, Hardanger & Finishing Technique Sampler--this is a Level 4 project, which includes Klosters, Dove's Eyes, Picots, Satin Stitch, Buttonhole, Eyelets, Four-sided Stitch, Cable Stitch, Cutting & Weaving, Spokes, Twisted Bars, Hemstitch, and Tiny Tent Stitch. Project and all stitches will be worked on 20ct. Cream linen, using DMC floss and DMC Perle Coton.
#1421-Pat's Pulled Thread Sampler (Thurs. 1-6:45pm -- $73.00) EXCLUSIVE!
Learn to create & design your own sampler. Pat will reach 13 different techniques, which students will use to create their own unique sampler. Each student will then choose 3 more stitches from a Danish embroidery book (included) to finish their piece for a total of 16 squares.
A Pulled Thread & Finishing Technique Sampler--this is a Level 6 project, which includes Step Stitch Filling, Eyelet on Trellis, Single Faggot & Backstitch, Single Faggot Rows, Open Trellis Filling, Chequer Filling, Squaring with Double Back, Diagonal Four-sided Trellis, Pins & Honeycomb Darning, Pulled Satin with Greek Cross, Cobblestone Stitch, Pulled Satin Stitch Variation, Knot Stitch, Squared Edging with Points. Practice stitches will be worked on 20ct. Cream linen and project will be worked on 28ct. Cream linen, using DMC Perle Coton.

A study of samplers from around the world, this lecture is for ALL levels! View over 120 samplers from around the world with detailed descriptions personally given by Pat. She studied these samplers at the International Museum of Folk Art in Sante Fe, NM. Each student will receive a sampler design from this collection that Pat has charted as a special remembrance of this presentation.

My Garden of Hearts Sampler
Types of Needlework include Cross Stitch, Decorative Surface Stitches, Pulled Thread and Beads.
This sampler was inspired by Pat's visit to the U.K. and the lovely gardens at Hampton Court. It contains over 15 stitches including Griffin, Festoon, Trellis with Tassel Stitch, Slingknot Stitch, Coral Stitch on Diagonal, Stem Stitch and more. You will practice on 20ct. Linen and create the sampler on 28ct. Lambswool Linen (9" x 9") when you return home. You will use DMC Flower Thread, Perle Coton, Floss and Beads. This sampler is "sown" with love and care. Come join Pat for a day of fun, learning how to make your garden grow!

Three Virtues Keepsake Sampler

An antique sampler dating from the early 1800's inspired this miniature commemorative sampler. It contains 13 delightful stitches that Pat will make learning easy and fun when practiced on 20ct. Linen. The 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" piece will be created on 28ct. Lambswool Linen using DMC Floss, Flower Thread, Linen Thread and Beads. Some stitches used are Diagonal Four-sided Stitch, Fan Stitch Variation, Displaced Stitch and Danish Lazy Daisy Flowers. The Three Virtues (Faith, Hope and Charity) Keepsake Sampler will be a lovely addition to any stitcher's collection.
