Friday evening will be the beginning of a glorious weekend held at this premiere resort.
The conference room has one entire wall that has an ocean front view! Plus, you'll be able to stitch
each night away until your eyes are too tired to see. This first night you'll be greeted by the 3 celebrities for a welcome party, where you will hear stories of their exciting excursions. You will also enjoy Alma Lynne's project that was designed for this event and the Mackinac Island engagement. It's her darling little beach stitcher. The entertainment they will share with you is sure to leave you giggling all the way to bed!

Saturday your special class, "Susan's Sampler Tin Keepsake", will begin. It fits inside the bottom of the 11" by 10" Whitman candy tin. It's absolutely "funderful," as she would say! You will learn surface embroidery, laid-filling stitches, composite work, withdrawing and replacing threads, and all of her spectacular finishing tips. The tin has a place to store your scissors, tape measure, needle book, and pin cushion. You will cleverly secure all of them to your stitched piece. To finish it off you will take a motif and embellish the inside of a mini tin, that matches the large one, and secure it inside the TOP of the large tin. This is a great place to store any tools that you don't want to lose. It's another "self-finishing" project for which she has become well-known. It is a project you will not want to put down until it is finished. Then you will proudly stow your needlework tools inside of it.

Class will begin at 9:00 am. We will break at lunch (on your own) for an afternoon of strolling the beach or shopping. At 6:00 pm we will gather for an evening of more fun. It's the "Pajama Party"! Susan will be doing her famous "Gadget Gal" lecture. There will be prizes for different PJ categories, autographing fun, and some yummy snacks.

Sunday will be a continuation of the tin class. You will have the privilege of hearing the Pat's experiences while on her Asian Tour of the Philippines and Cambodia. You'll be touched by the lives of these young stitchers and how needlework has in a way "saved" them. During class time you'll study with all three teachers. While one teaches, the others assist. You will love the history, techniques, and "first class" instructions. We will conclude with a farewell brunch and a grand finale that will leave you going home with special memories of a weekend to remember!
